At GSX in Atlanta, one question kept coming up: How can you prove the video you rely on is real?
We spent the week with our partners at Milestone Systems, showing how SWEAR helps cities and public-sector organizations answer that question within Milestone XProtect. We met with interested organizations, editors, and industry analysts who are watching closely as AI-generated and manipulated video changes the way security teams think about evidence.
The conversations made one thing clear: video authenticity is becoming a practical concern for the people responsible for community safety and trust.
Protecting the Video Communities Depend On
At GSX, we introduced the Community Video Integrity Project, which gives selected U.S. public-sector organizations using Milestone XProtect 12 months of SWEAR technology, deployment, onboarding, and support at no cost.
The program is designed to help organizations protect footage from their most frequently used or highest-priority cameras. That could mean video used to investigate an incident, document an event, support a legal proceeding, or explain what happened to the public.
Alongside the Milestone team, we demonstrated how SWEAR establishes authenticity at capture and lets operators verify footage directly inside XProtect. Seeing that process in a familiar workflow helped move the conversation from why does video authenticity matter? to how could we use it?
We also valued the chance to speak with editors and analysts tracking the wider implications of AI-generated content. Their questions reinforced how quickly this issue is moving beyond a hypothetical risk.
The Conversation Continues
GSX gave us the opportunity to connect with organizations that understand what is at stake when video evidence is questioned. We’re grateful to Milestone for welcoming us into their booth and to everyone who took the time to see SWEAR in action.
